Friday, December 5, 2014, was held at the Enoteca Italiana di Siena, the presentation of the Documentation Centre Amedeo Modigliani. Present at the presentation art experts, collectors, Sienese nobility, lovers of the great artist also from London, the Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences of the University of Siena, representatives of some magazines of Art and Culture.
Surprisingly Donatella Cannova, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney has sent her best wishes for the future of this important initiative. Guido Folco, Director of the International Museum of Italian Art of Turin, sent their greetings. The evening was presented by Carlo Rettori, President of the Documentation Centre Amedeo Modigliani and continued with the presence of Gregorio Rossi, Vice President and historian who explained the reasons for the birth of the Centre in the Sienese territory (www.amedeomodigliani.eu).
With his likeable personality led those present in front of the paintings on display for comment on them at close range. The paintings on display, Micheli and his school attended by the likes of Oscar Ghiglia, Llewelyin Lloyd, Gino Romiti and a design on music paper of Amedeo Modigliani were kindly provided by private collectors.
